Darryl and I were like best friends from a very young age . We had a ton of good times and laughs. We kind of lost touch with each other after we finished school , But thankfully we reconnected just a couple of Months ago and talked for hours remembering all the good times . I’m so glad we were able to connect like that again, it was truly a blessing. .Rest In Peace my Brother. You sure will be missed .

So sad to hear about Darryl’s passing. My husband and I were neighbours with him in Inverhuron for a few years. He was energetic, kind, funny, and great to have a conversation with. He was very welcoming and always there to lend a hand. He helped us drywall our house - because he “just wanted an opportunity to put his pouch on”. He was hardworking and we were so grateful for his kindness. He liked to share stories, laugh, and go on atv rides. My husband also worked away for a few months and Darryl made sure to look out for me. He kept to himself - but always reminded me that he was there if I ever needed him. It was a comfort knowing he was there and happy to help.

We lost touch when we moved, but I always hoped that I would run into him again someday.

From what others have written it looks like he treated everyone else the same too - big heart, kind, welcoming, easy to talk to.

Donna and Dwayne - so sorry for your loss. He will keep a special place in our hearts.

Darryl I don't know where to start, I have known you for many years I always looked up to you. You always helped me through alot of tough times, you always welcomed me with open arms. I remember when my son was born u were so excited to meet him as I was for you to meet him I remember driving to ur place in st clements in a blizzard just so I could see that contagious smile of yours. Or the time you helped me secure a job and believed in when noone else did. Or just the Many nights we spent chillin at a kitchen table weather it was at the cottage or ur place or my place. I will always remember you and I hope to see you on the other side brother. R.I.P love your homie Aaron

I remember you, I was 12 when we met, through the neighborhood and friends. You always stood up for me, such a kind soul! We became friends again years later on Facebook and decided because we both love fishing we would get together, I'm sorry that never happened. May you RIP, you will be missed, love Pam❤

Where do I start? We met in 1983 through my best friend Sharon Stanley. From that day forward we were either dating or great friends. We stayed in touch through the years as we grew older.

Darryl and I would laugh for hours on the phone or via Messenger.

In 2019 I took him to see Foreigner & out to dinner at Red Lobster.

Last May Sharon, Darryl and I got together for drinks and lots of laughs.

I don't know how to say good bye. I can't say good bye. Fly high with the angels Jackson. I'll miss you more than you can imagine.

Love Always,

Laurie
