Biography

Eleanor Margaret MacMaster (Head) left this earthly realm on April 15, 2023, just short of her 90th birthday. Born on December 9, 1933, she was always known to her friends as Ellie. Though Ellie's health was failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. A stubborn force to be reckoned with. An unrelenting advocate for being who you are, doing what you want, and telling it like it is. Loud, funny, intelligent, and understanding. Ellie had many occupations over her lifetime, had a love of horses, and was a prolific artist. She also served an amazing roast beef dinner. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bruce Alfred Manning and survived by her husband Lorne MacMaster of 33 years, her son Mike (Heather), and daughters Janice and Carol (Randy), as well as six grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Ellie will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A cremation has already taken place.
