James Vernon Branch

Sep 5th 1967 — Jul 20th 2023 (55 years)

Biography

James, or Jim, or Jimmy, was an amazing human being. We remember him as being loyal to his friends, always there to help with different projects around our houses, building sheds, garages, decks, children swing sets and monkey bars, etc. He was a loving and considerate person, and was never afraid to go over and above his call for people he loved. Raised with his brother Charles, or Chuck, or Chucky, in New Brunswick by their mom, Laurette Francoeur, Jim came to Toronto from New Brunswick with a few friends to work in the Ontario booming construction industry in 1987, and he never looked back. He leaves behind many dear friends, but mostly his dear brother Chuck, whom he lived and worked with most of his life. They were inseparable. Jim was a reliable construction worker, and his different bosses learned to appreciate his work ethics and great skills, and they all had nothing but good things to say over his 35+ years in the industry. He was efficient, loyal, and really good at what he did. Work was his life. He rarely missed a day, even in temperatures of -25 degrees or +40 degrees. He also loved his Swiss family, and went several times in Switzerland. They will miss him very much (some pictures attached). Jim will indeed be missed by all who knew him. The last couple of years had been tough for him. His health had declined quite a bit. However this tragic ending was a shock for all of us who love him, and we will all miss him terribly. Please be in prayers and in thoughts particularly for his brother Chuck and his dear friends Iris, Carl, Christiane, Shelby, and his family from Switzerland.
