Norma Frances Parrotte (née Crump) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Norma Parrotte, on Tuesday, January 24, at Willows Estate, Aurora, after a difficult battle with dementia. Beloved wife of 36 years, to Steve. Loving mother of Micheal (Cathie Hallahan) McErlean, Terry (Susan) McErlean, and Gregory McErlean; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Jason) Shpak, and Stephanie (T.J. Bestward) McErlean; great grandmother of Allysha (Adam) Vandal and great-great grandmother of Mia. Norma will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins and friends. In keeping with Norma's wishes, arrangements have been made for cremation, with interment at St. John's Norway Cemetery, Toronto, alongside her mother (Nora). “Ample make this bed. Make this bed with awe; In it wait till judgment break Excellent and fair.” Emily Dickinson

I remember Norma as a very kind and caring person who shared her faith and assistance with anyone who came in contact with her. Steve - I think of you in the same way. Perhaps some day our paths might cross again. I'm still at the Shrine for the 12 noon mass during the summer. God bless you always.

We met Norma and Steve as leaders of our Contemplation Group. Beautiful, heartfelt lessons. Norma was always prepared to lead. In the same way, she treasured the gift of life. Joyous, visible, kind and loving. Norma, rest in peace, lovely lady. Our deepest condolences to Steve and their family.

Our cousin Norma was always a kind and loving person. I can recall our mother Mildred sharing pictures of Norma as a young girl - her smile and warmth jumping off the page. My sister Trish and I thankfully got to see Norma and Steve on Dec. 6, 2022. Although Norma's dementia was evident, her sense of humour and laughter filled the room. My heartfelt condolences to Steve, Michael, Terry, Gregory and extended family.

One of the worlds best huggers, when you were in her arms you could feel her calming energy and love.

A matriarch who passed down her stories and teaching's.

With a laugh so sweet that it can never be forgotten.

A gentle and kind women who we are proud to call our Grandmother.

Norma was loving to the end. The dementia destroyed her memory, but it could not take away her essential goodness. She loved everyone. If there were more like her, the world would be a far better place

Norma was a dear neighbor of mine for the past thirteen years. A nicer neighbor I cannot imagine. She was always smiling, sweet, outgoig, kind, tenderhearted, and interested in others. I will miss her deeply. My deepest sympathy to her loving husband, Steve, and their family.
