I have 22 years filled with memories of Shirley. She was more than my best friend for my whole childhood, she was family. Shirley was always so outgoing, adventurous, and boisterous, back then I was timid, frail and fearful, because of this Shirley was always protective of me. She encouraged me to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. She was always reminding me I could count on her and trust her, and I knew I could. We were always getting into some sort of mischief as kids, always Shirley's ideas 😂 I remember her showing off her Super Dave daredevil bike tricks, or the time she came for a sleepover, she had just got some new clothes, they were tied up in a grocery bag, unfortunately my Dad mistook it for trash and threw it in the wood stove. Shirley never let him live this down.

Shirley and I grew up together, from chicken pox, to having babies. She supported me through my early stages of labor and after when I had PPD. Unfortunately the last 15 years we had grown apart. I am devastated to hear the news of her passing. I hope she knew how much I valued her presence in my life. To know her was to love her.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shirley Anne only once, when she was a very young teen. She left an impression on me I will always remember. She was so inquisitive, full of energy, adventurous and had a smile that lit up a room. Continued contacts with her mom, Susan, helped me follow her journey throughout her short lifetime. God speed you, Shirley Anne. may the angels send you to your eternal home. RIH

I remember the laughs with Shirley Anne. One time in particular when her and Shannon were kids playfully wrestling with Frank on the front lawn, Frank had Shannon down while out of the corner of his eye he saw Shirley come in for the attack and so Frank put his hand out to stop her which happened to be at Shirley's face level....knocked her already loose tooth clean out of her month. I still can clearly see the look of shock on her face.

Her quick wit and how she'd say outloud exactly what came to mind. ...she sure knew how to make people laugh, thank you for that Shirley Anne ❤
