Yvette Campbell

Dec 6th 1970 — Jul 29th 2022 (51 years)

Biography

Yvette Campbell departed her loving family on July 29th 2022.

Known by many as Yvette Campbell, she loved most to be called "Mama" by her kids. She wanted nothing more than to be there for her family, notably her two children Victoria and Matthew.

Yvette was always a wild spirit. No matter the occasion, she would be filled with smiles and good vibes. Her heart was as wide as the ocean and her confidence stood taller than the mountains. She never backed down from anyone or anything. A true lioness. She had a special connection with not just people, but animals too. All beings felt the warmth of her glow. - Matthew

She was selfless, and was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her friends and family. That is all that ever mattered to her.

Anyone who knew Yvette knew that she was a star in the eyes of her loved ones, and at the end of the day that was what meant the most to her.

She played the role of two parents and she did it in a way that never let on how many sacrifices she had to make.

Yvette, you are our earth Angel, with a heart of gold.

Always a party and fun waiting to happen with Yvette, she just wanted to make people laugh and for everyone around her to be happy. She was a beacon of light, the epitome of love and light. It was always a fresh breath of air to be around her, you wouldn’t even notice the time passing by with her. She made hours feel like minutes.

The magnitude of how much we miss you could never be put into words. You nurtured us with your tender love and supported us all in every way, and your spirit will live on forever.

Thank you for all the laughs, and unconditional love. Thank you for being there for us when you couldn’t even be there for yourself. Thank you for fighting everyday, for wearing a smile on your face through all the pain.

Yvette our beautiful goddess, our passionate figure of strength, who soldiered on, even when times were tough. Our beautiful, awe-inspiring, mesmerizing, transcending, ethereal, breathtaking, irreplaceable, radiant, graceful, magnetic beyond words Angel this universe has ever been blessed with.

Until we meet again, a peace of our hearts will all live in heaven with you. Our Guardian Angel.

-Your angel Victoria 💋😇💕

Dear Yvette, it is with great sadness & heartbreak to hear of your passing. I want to say our lives took us on different paths & we lost touch with each other over the years & it didn't help me not having Facebook. I will always have the best memories of you,Jackie and I in our teenage years & of course our twenties! We had so many good times & laughs together that I will never forget you. I have so many fond memories of Yvette. I was a teenager when we met and I adored her! She was pretty, nice, funny, classy and very stylish! Some memories I have of Yvette is watching her put her makeup on -she taught me how to apply lip liner, I was amazed that she brushed her eyebrows and then put a little hairspray on her finger to keep them in place -for years I did the same..lol! I wore the same tangerine colour lip stick because it looked so good on her..haha! And because my hair is as blonde as hers- It was easy for me to get into the bars as Yvette! I love you for that!! She would say call me anything but don’t call me EVA!! Lol Because of her I developed a love for Rod Stewart’s music and many more great memories of her and the kids when they were small. Yvette you were like a big sister back then and I’m very glad you came into my life! Gone too soon but never forgotten! Love Terina and all of the Oakley’s XO

I cannot believe this world is without you .

When we worked together you always made me laugh and especially our road trips to do house measures as many time I had to get out for you would make laugh so much I couldn’t handle it.

You were there for me at an important time of my life and your words I will never forget. “Don’t listen to other people just your heart” and I thank you for that.

I cannot believe you won’t be walking into my store and yelling where’s my working hubby .

I love you Yvette and will miss you so much.

The classiest lady I have ever known. She lit a room like no other, she shined bright like a diamond and everyone who got to share that room space knew she was a diamond and adored her beauty. Not only did she sparkle with beauty, she had the sickest (she knows what I mean) sense of humour and could turn any normality of life into gut roaring laughter.

She also had the power of persuasion in which I am so thankful for. She could talk me into just about any adventure and thankful she did as our adventures are some of my fondest memories of my life.

Those she loved, she loved hard and we felt her love, never a doubt as she shared her feelings - all those personal messages shared meant the world and will be treasured forever ❤️ Her greatest love of course was Matthew and Victoria, she was a Mama Bear from that first moment of parenting onward and this was her proudest role.

She was as faithful to her family as a lionesses is to her pack. Her Mama, siblings, nieces and nephew were her joy also, she glowed when she spoke about each and everyone of you.

Memories I have are my treasures and never forgotten. My love, respect and gratitude to Yvette Alexandra Anne is never ending xoxo

Wow what a Beautiful tribute to your Mom. First off I want to say my Deepest Condolences to Yvette's. I know all to well the love that everyone had for her and her for you.

I have been fortunate enough to be friends of the family and it was always a pleasure to have so many great laughs with Yvette. I always treasured our friendship and that great big smile that would light up any room that she entered.

There are so many great memories especially when we met for coffee. There was one time that we went to the Wired Monk on the corner of Hollis and Morris st. We were sitting in there having our usual laughs and as we left the laughter continued into the car, Yvette was Driving by the way, when she turned on the car she went up Morris and due to us carrying on turned right on Hollis st, yes a one way street. Lol we sat there for a few seconds laughing again at ourselves before correcting our journey home. Her sense of humor was always on display and I loved her just like a sister ❤. The last time I talked to this sweet woman she told me, Thanks Bob for the invite for coffee, as we teased each other any time the other went for one.

Yvette's sense of humor, her love for her family, as well as her glowing presence will be missed in so many ways. May my dear friend rest in peace 🙏❤ love you always girl from your friend Bob ☕☕

It will be a strange twist to not have a Facetime hijacked, or the door busting open at mom/dads hearing "Hellur Annewwwwwwww". Golden Girl jokes, making fun of everything/everyone, casino nights, lunch outings, car rides (sometimes from hell) are some of the many memories I'll cherish about you.

I'm so grateful to have had you in my life, and am happy that we got to share so many memories together. Kristi and Mason are lucky to have establish a bond with you with a visit as recent as June.

We'll hold down the Fort as best we can. Rest Peacefully, we love you.

My memory of baby sister is the time we went to the Casino and played Roulette. I was winning and had to go to the washroom … when I came back all of our chips were gone. I asked her “where’d all our chips go” and she looked at me with the one eye barely open and said “ I played them”. So after that we went to play the slots game instead. Well Yvette ended up tripping over the chair and fell on the floor. The usher came over and said “ You gotta go” she looked up in a daze and we started laughing. So this is the time me and my sister got kicked out of the casino, this was about 2 years ago I’ll never forget.

I have a lot of great memories of Yvette. She always cooked such good meals, always had her kitties with her, and her style was so nice I loved how she decorated her space. But my favorite memories that I think of often is when she would drive me and Tori around with the windows blasting Eminem and singing with us, she wasn’t worried who was looking she just wanted us to have fun. I will always cherish those times and the love you gave to me and everyone around you. I miss you and love you Yvette❤️

A beautiful, kind ,loving ,warm hearted, caring , strong, friendly ,charismatic ,beautiful soul

She is a light to so many people in her life.

And one of the greatest mothers I have ever met. Her family was her life.

Always supporting others ,trying to be there for everyone no matter what she was going through.

No matter what pain she has faced . She always tries to keep a smile .

Even when she was going through the worst of times. Always the life of the party , always the one to talk to, the one to go to,the one to be there . The one to get a laugh with when you feel down , that friend who is always a shoulder to lean on.

The best hostess ever . The best chef . The best mother.

Such an amazing woman was taken way to soon. Rest In Peace Yvette Campbell.💛

May you shine in the hearts of the lives that you have touched ,for ever and always. I’m grateful to have met such a wonderful woman . ✨💛✨

Mama, my first memories of her were when I was just a little tot. I would come home from pre-school everyday and go straight to the backyard because I knew she’d be on the back deck basking in the sun. She was my beach babe, my sunshine.

As soon as she’d see me come through the back door she’d stand up and appear over me, sun blazing behind her bleach blonde hair, she’d hug me and ask me how was my day.

When I seen her standing over me with the sun in her hair, illuminating over her beautiful face and big smile of gold I would think to myself in my child brain “ She is so beautiful!! She is an Angel! She is a part of the sun, she is my sun.” I would think how lucky am I that my mom is as dazzling as the sun.

That’s what my mama is to me, she is my sunshine, my bright day, my light to guide me home. She is everything.

Rest In Peace to my beautiful Aunt Yvette,

A few words to describe Yvette are: loving, caring, hilarious, always so much fun, strong, gorgeous, a big personality, confident, friendly, enthusiastic, warm hearted, bright, energetic, thoughtful, compassionate, sincere, amazing, animated, chatty, chic, fabulous, gentle, glamorous, incomparable, passionate, social, vibrant, welcoming.

I have so many great memories with Aunt Yvette, she was like my second mom, she was always someone I could talk to and she would give me great advice. I loved having sleepovers at her house, she always made me feel special. She always cooked special dishes of food she was an amazing cook (her asparagus was my FAVOURITE).

I always loved her fashion sense, ever since I was young I’d say I wanted to dress like Aunt Yvette, I owe her a thank you for my fashion sense now, she was always dressy and fabulous with her little outfits so classy and stunning. Everyday she looked amazing and so beautiful and put together.

Another silly thing that I always remember is car rides with Aunt Yvette, she would always put Radio Disney on for me and Victoria when we were young and I LOVED it I still remember those car rides to this day. She would play the music and sing/dance along. I loved her driving also it was like you were driving with a race car driver.

Aunt Yvette always had her beautiful smile on her face no matter what, and always gave a big hug and kiss and made everyone feel so special. I will never forget that my childhood and teenage years were filled with her amazing presence. There are so many things I can write about Aunt Yvette but anyone that knows her knows exactly how she would make them feel.

I love you and miss you so much Aunt Yvette XOXO

My beautiful Auntie - your absence from our lives has created a void that can never be filled. I can still hear your laugh - makes me smile to think about how hard we laughed at the pictures of Mom, Camden and his birthday cake this summer - you had the best sense of humour. You were my lucky charm on our traditional night out at the Casino, the best hostess, and always a safe place to land when I needed to talk. How lucky was I to have you in my life for this long? We often only count our blessing when it's too late, don't we? Love you forever. Xo
